Michalis Iliopoulos graduated from the UOA, School of Mathematics. A convinced and devoted honey amateur, he has been a beekeeper for years and has attended various professional seminars. He put all this experience and know-how into practice, when he decided to get into beekeeping as a professional. He founded MELITHI company, wishing to introduce a honey of excellent taste and quality to the market.

We apply natural and/or bio bee-keeping procedures, eliminating any chance of adulteration or reduction of quality of the product. We transport our beehives all around Greece, seeking the best possible situations in order to acquire pure, excellent quality products. This continuous transportation helps the bees find nectar and pollen during each of the four seasons, so that they turn these substances into premium quality honey. This happens because the rich flora of our country is endless and this makes our products superior in quality.

Our aim is to produce authentic, totally Greek honey that meets the strictest requirements, in order to build a relationship based on mutual trust with consumers in Greece and abroad:  our customers wish to taste premium quality products; they are well aware of the nutritional value of honey and its contribution to a healthy way of life and longevity.

Our basic principles are:
